BTM User Training

Course Overview:

This one-day hands-on course will ensure that you feel completely comfortable using OpTier's BTM. The architecture of your BTM Solution is explained, enabling users to understand how the technology works to provide complete control and visibility into every transaction, across all tiers, all the time. This lab intensive course will show you how to use OpTier's BTM to ensure that business transactions flow smoothly though IT systems, without bottlenecks or outages. Participants will explore the many comprehensive ways to use the BTM console to visualize and understand application availability, response times and end-user behavior.

Who will Benefit?
Users of BTM, including enterprise architects, application managers, database administrators, support personnel, system engineers, application developers, and business managers.

You Will Learn How To:

  • Explore the wealth of information available with BTM

Hands-on labs allow participants to install and configure CoreFirst in a real environment under the guidance of an expert instructor. Participants will learn how to verify and update the status of CoreFirst components, and how to customize and troubleshoot the CoreFirst installation.

This course will enable you to extend CoreFirst to provide monitoring and metrics for nonstandard servers and protocols, as well as for homegrown applications. You will be guided, step-by-step, through the process of building a tier extension plug-in to support a new protocol, building a custom tier extension, and building a context agent classification plug-in.

This course will be useful for system administrators, programmers, and developers who wish to extend the functionality of CoreFirst.

You Will Learn How To:

  • Build a tier-extension plug-in
  • Build a custom tier extension
