Sales Development Representative

Location: New York, NY

Overview of the Opportunity

The primary goal of the Sales Development Representative (SDR) is to increase qualified pipeline for the sales organization in existing accounts. SDRs will work closely with OpTier Field Sales representatives to expand and accelerate OpTier presence in existing accounts. Resources will include incoming leads, existing contacts database, 3rd party tools like RainKing and coordination with Field sales counterparts. SDRs will perform research and prospecting activities to set qualified face-to-face, phone or web appointments with their field sales counterparts and/or the Director of Sales Development. It is expected SDRs understand OpTier markets and solutions to properly engage, qualify and accelerate prospects. SDR will ensure prospects a superior partnering experience with OpTier.

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Achieve quota for number of qualified meetings per month with Manager/Director/VP/and C-level decision makers in target accounts
  • Follow-up on inbound leads and proactively make outbound calls into target Fortune 1000 accounts
  • Utilize salesforce.com to track activity and update lead and opportunity information
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on marketing efforts from real interactions
  • Work closely with Field Reps to develop and conduct proactive outbound calling strategies to penetrate target accounts. Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and successfully manage and overcome prospect objections in order to secure qualified meetings
  • Develop and maintain territory plans to maximize and leverage phone time, including pre-call planning, adhering to territory hours and metrics, and customizing scripts to market segments and prospect types
  • Manage a lead prospecting pipeline and maintain accurate information about suspects, prospects, and their companies
  • Participate in company meetings and marketing events
  • Work with other members of the OpTier organization to ensure overall company success
  • Keep up with industry trends and best practices, including utilization of new technology and web resources

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience as SDR/BDR (sales development rep / business development rep) or inside sales
  • 2+ years in application performance management, business transaction management, infrastructure monitoring or related space
  • Experience with multi-stakeholder sales to IT or line of business
  • Located in NY or willing to relocate – must work in OpTier NY office
  • Results driven, structured and also data oriented
  • Self-motivated with ability to work effectively in a highly automated and distributed sales environment
  • Proven ability execute outbound prospecting strategies including:

    •Pre-call planning

    •Opportunity qualification and objection handling

    •Call structure and control

Technical Account Manager

Major Responsibilities:

Manage case prioritization and escalation, as well as enhancement requests and the company's environmental documentation. Inform customers of new releases and features. Liaise with clients to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. Identify new license and services opportunities. Analyze gaps in customers' skill sets and define training requirements. Sales Engineer (SE)

Location: New York, Chicago

Overview of the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking highly motivated, results oriented individuals to join our Presale team as Sales Engineer (SE). These individuals will work together with sales reps on the technical aspects of selling OpTier's product to enterprise customers and will assure a successful hand-off for implementation.

The SE will regularly interface with prospects and customers as well as with the company's Support and R&D lab.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading the technical sale of OpTier's solution including requirements gathering, solution development, presentations, demonstrations, proof of concept, RFI/RFP responses, competitive differentiation, ROI/TCO studies, and project management of the technical sales process.
  • Developing solutions using OpTier and partner products that integrate with customer's existing infrastructure to meet their business and technical requirements.
  • As the primary presales technical interface with the customer the SE will work to gain mind-share and communicate OpTier's strategy and vision.

Essential Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in technical field
  • Require minimum 5 years of industry experience.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in enterprise-level software solutions, Experience with complex sales to large enterprise customers.
  • Demonstrated success in large sales with Fortune 500 customers
  • Excellent presentation skills, ability to present technical presentations and product demos, and answer complex technical and competitive questions and address customer concerns.
